Syd Barrett Pink Floyd

Piper at the Gates of Dawn from 1967 is hailed as one of their best, but Floyd has always done a good job of reinventing themselves at every juncture. This, their first etch on a long line of psychedelic masterpieces is hailed by some as their best. A fan of The Wall may hate Ummagumma, same goes for those who worship Dark Side of the Moon cut with the second roar of Dorothy's MGM Lion who may catch a listen of Meddle or something...I'm sorry, it's all the same band who did Animals. The influence of Piper is very far reaching, and Syd Barrett’s romantic seclusion gives it that much more. Lucifer Sam, Matilda Mother, and Take Up Thy Stethoscope and Walk are epitome of great psych-pop songs. Bike is a hilarious ender, which defines Barrett perfectly as a serious yet unstable individual.
